Reed wins WGC event
DORAL, FL (TheSpread) – Patrick Reed continued his strong start to 2014, winning the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Sunday.
Reed, who already has a PGA win this season, earned the WGC victory by posting an even-par 72 to finish at -4 for the tournament, one shot ahead of Bubba Watson and Jamie Donaldson.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Reed was a longshot to win, as he had 80/1 odds. This means that a wager of $100 on Reed to win will pay out an additional $8,000.
Watson made the big surge on Sunday, getting to -3 overall after shooting a 4-under 68 on Sunday. It was the top round among the leaders in a day that featured a lot of ugly scores, including a Tiger Woods, who shot a 6-over 78 on Sunday to finish at +5 overall.
