Bill Haas will defend his title but the favorite will be Phil Mickelson, who struggled at Pebble Beach after winning the Phoenix Open. Last week's winner, Brandt Snedeker will be taking off this week. The par 71 brings a strong field with many top international players visiting Los Angeles to test this course out.
Watson has a T-4 and a 15th-place finish this year. He's due for a win. He has finished top 25 in nine of his last 10 starts on the Tour. He has three Top 20s at Riviera since 2008 including a T-13 finish last year. Fellow lefties Phil Mickelson and Mike Weir have a combined four wins here in the last decade. He's near the top of the tour in greens regulation which will serve him well this week.
Walker has been dy-no-mite the last two years here, finishing T-4. This year, he has a T-4 finished at Torrey Pines to go along with a T-3 last week at Pebble Beach. He hasn't missed a cut this year. His first PGA win could come this week.

Cantlay is playing on a sponsor's exception this week since he's playing at UCLA right now. Last week. Cantlay showed he's more than just a strong young player at Pebble Beach with a T-9.
