Bet the 2009 RBC Canadian Open

Villegas and Goosen open at 16/1 odds according to the online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds include Anthony Kim (18/1), Mike Weir (18/1), and Sean O’Hair (20/1).

Villegas enters this weekend’s event as the highest ranked golfer in the world at 13th. Villegas finished 13th at the British Open last weekend, but his best finish of the year is finishing tied for third at the Buick Invitational. Villegas finished tied for 53rd at last year’s RBC Canadian Open.

Goosen is coming off a fifth place finish at the British Open and is currently ranked 21st in the world rankings. Goosen has two wins this year, winning the Transitions Championship and Africa Open. Goosen placed 30th at the 2008 RBC Canadian Open.

Kim is ranked 17th in the world and he placed eighth in the 2008 RBC Canadian Open. Kim is without a win this season and has two top five finishes this year.

Weir is a native of Canada and is the 27th ranked golfer in the world. Weir finished fifth in the 2008 RBC Canadian Open and has four top 10 finishes this season. Weir hasn’t won an event since the 2007 Fry’s Electronics Open.

The young O’Hair is ranked 15th in the world rankings and won this year’s Quail Hollow Championship back in May. O’Hair finished third at last year’s Canadian Open and has five top 10 finishes since then.
