CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – The King is returning to Cleveland. How will LeBron James perform next season as he attempts to lead his hometown team to the NBA Title?

View NBA Finals Odds

LeBron has agreed to a two-year, $42.1 million deal with the Cavaliers, joining a young roster that appears much more talented on paper than he had in his first run with the Cavaliers, joining the likes of Kyrie Irving, Andrew Wiggins and Dion Waiters.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, James has been given an over/under of 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 7 assists per game for next season with Cleveland. He has also been given 3/2 odds to win the NBA MVP honor and 1/2 odds to not win.

James averaged 27.1 points, 6.4 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game last season for the Miami Heat. The scoring average matched his best in his time with Miami but his assists and rebounds were among his lowest while with the Heat.

In his time with Cleveland, LeBron averaged over 27.5 points per game in four of his seven seasons. He averaged over 7 assists in three of those seasons and over 7.5 rebounds in two of them. LeBron is a different player now than he was in his first seven seasons with Cleveland. He is much stronger and more aggressive with the ball. His talent around him in Cleveland is stronger as well, which should open the door for him to make his teammates better and improve his assist numbers. The roster is currently that big in size, so an emphasis on rebounding may be part of his game this season as well.

LeBron James is currently a four-time NBA MVP, winning two with Cleveland and two with the Miami Heat. His two with Miami came in seasons that he won the NBA Championship.
