Dylan Carlson will undergo an MRI on his right wrist. Carlson was removed Thursday from the game against the Pirates with discomfort in the right wrist. He picked up the injury on Tuesday, but reportedly felt well enough -- with approval from the team -- to play through it. His status should be updated shortly after the results of the imaging are available.

Whit Merrifield went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base Wednesday versus the Yankees. Merrifield tied Carlos Beltran's Royals record for most consecutive steals without being caught (33) when he swiped a bag following a single in the first inning. He tried to break the record with another attempted steal in the seventh and was initially safe, but Merrifield was out after he slid off the bag. His 33 thefts lead baseball.
