Kris Bryant went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and two runs scored in a losing effort against the Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon. Bryant got the Cubs on the board in this one with an RBI double off of Merrill Kelly in the sixth inning then later scored on a run-scoring single off the bat of Javier Baez. Bryant then led off the ninth with a double, and was once again plated by Baez. With the two-hit attack, Bryant is now hitting .268/.349/.497 with 16 long balls, 47 RBI and four swipes on the season.

Paul DeJong went 1-for-3 with a home run against the Giants on Sunday. DeJong continued his hot stretch at the plate with a home run against the Giants on Sunday. He drove in the first run of the game with a solo blast off of Johnny Cueto to lead off the third inning. The 27-year-old shortstop is 10-for-18 over his last six games with three home runs. On the year, DeJong is slashing .205/.299/.409 with 13 homers and 29 RBI over 244 plate appearances.
