Tigers vs. Astros Sunday Prediction
The Houston Astros will go for the sweep of the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon when the clubs wrap up their series at 2:10 p.m. ET. Unlike Saturday's matchup, will the series finale fall under the betting total when Justin Verlander faces his former team?

Tigers' Liriano lit up by Rays in last start
Francisco Liriano was lit up for seven runs in 2 1/3 innings by the Rays on Monday. On the plus side, Liriano walked a season-low one batter tonight. But that was just because Rays hitters were crushing him. Liriano has given up five homers in his last three starts, and with his control problems, he simply can't afford to be homer-prone. The Tigers might run out of patience at some point.
Tigers' Verlander shuts down A's in no-decision
Justin Verlander shut out the Athletics for six innings in a no-decision Tuesday. Verlander allowed just three hits, walked none and struck out six through six innings, so one would think he could have gone deep tonight. Still, it took him 110 pitches to get those 18 outs, even as he faced just 21 batters. Verlander was denied a win after the Astros blew a four-run lead in the ninth. He'll try for No. 10 for the sixth time on the final day before the All-Star break.
MLB Betting Trends
Detroit
The Tigers are winless in Liriano's last six starts.
Houston
The Astros have won 21 of Verlander's last 30 starts.
Prediction:
The under is 5-1-1 in Liriano's last seven road starts and is 5-1 in his last six outings coming off a team loss in their previous game. On the other side, the under has cashed in seven of Verlander's last 10 home starts. Michael Fulmer got lit up early on Saturday but I see this one falling under the total.
The Pick: Tigers/Astros under 7.5
