MLB Betting Trends
Kansas City
The Royals are 4-1 in their last five interleague road games, but just 21-50 in their last 71 road games overall.
Washington
The Nationals are 4-1 in their last five games following a loss and 8-3 in their last 11 home games.
Prediction:
Scherzer has been locked in for the last month. He has thrown at least seven innings in six straight starts and allowed just five earned runs over his last 45 innings on the mound. He also has double-digit strikeouts in five of the six starts. Sparkman gave up eight runs in three innings to the Blue Jays in his last start and has allowed at least three runs in four of his last five starts. The straight up odds are far too great to go with the Nats straight up, so take the run line.
MLB Prediction: Washington Nationals -1.5 (-180)
