Oakland A’s DFS SPIN
Frankie Montas was pounded for eight runs in 5 2/3 innings by the Rangers on Monday. Montas's spin rates were well down from usual tonight, and he got just six swings and misses against a subpar lineup. It wouldn't seem to bode well for him. The eight runs allowed were a season high, topping his total of seven against the Dodgers on Opening Day. Montas came into this one with a nice 3.39 ERA in his previous 10 starts.
San Francisco Giants DFS Spin
Alex Wood allowed six runs on Saturday over three innings but did not factor in the decision as the Giants fell to the Phillies. The left-hander could not settle in against the Phillies offense in what turned out to be Wood's shortest outing of the season. The 30-year-old surrendered a titanic home run to Rhys Hoskins that almost left the stadium and has now allowed 13 runs in June over just 15 innings (7.80 ERA). Wood will look to put this start behind him and look forward on the calendar to his next outing, scheduled to be against the Athletics at home.
A’s vs. Giants Betting Prediction
The A’s are just 1-4 in their last five Interleague games as an underdog and are 2-5 in their last seven games as an underdog overall. The Giants, meanwhile, are 41-16 in their last 57 games as a favorite, are 21-8 in their last 29 games versus a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and are 5-1 in their last six Interleague games as a favorite.
