Kansas City Royals Fantasy Spin
Billy Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a walk, a steal and two runs scored Wednesday against the White Sox. Hamilton has a .314 OBP, which is above his career mark of .298. If he were still the same defender and baserunner than he was a couple of years ago, a .314 OBP would be enough to make him a solid regular. Unfortunately, he's lost a little bit in both areas and he probably should be a fourth outfielder at this point.
Texas Rangers Fantasy Spin
Asdrubal Cabrera delivered a go-ahead double in Wednesday’s win over the Mariners. Cabrera came through in the clutch for Texas, plopping a two-out double down the left-field line to break a seven-all tie in the ninth inning. That was his second hit after previously plating Hunter Pence with an RBI single in the first. He also drew a sixth-inning walk and scored later in the frame on a Ronald Guzman sac fly. Cabrera hasn’t hit for a high average (.224) but he’s remained useful in the fantasy realm with nine homers and 33 RBI.
MLB Betting Trends
Kansas City
The Royals are just 14-39 in their last 53 games on the road and 16-37 in their last 53 games overall.
Texas
The Rangers have won four straight at home and five of six games following a win.
Prediction:
The Royals are just 17-36 in their last 53 games played in Arlington and are 6-21 in their last 27 games versus the Rangers overall. They’re been terrible with Jakob Junis on the hill, dropping four straight and five of six when he pitches on the road. They’re also just 2-11 in Junis’ last 13 starts coming off four days of rest. Meanwhile, the Rangers have won 10 of their last 14 games overall and are 6-1 in their last seven games versus a right-handed starter.
The Pick: Texas Rangers -148
