Braves end win streak
Atlanta had its three-game win streak come to an end on Monday night in a 5-3 loss at Los Angeles. The Braves are now 18-17 on the season, 8-7 on the road and 18-15-1 with the over. Atlanta has Max Fried on the mound tonight. He is 4-1 on the season with a 2.11 ERA.
Fried was originally scheduled to pitch on Monday, but the Braves went with Kevin Gausman instead. He lasted just 4.1 innings and gave up the five runs on seven hits, four walks and six strikeouts. Freddie Freeman had his seventh home run of the season and drove in two for the Braves while Nick Markakis had a solo home run.
Dodgers keep winning at home
Los Angeles picked up the 5-3 win on Monday to improve on their already impressive home record. Los Angeles is 23-14 on the season, 13-4 at home and 19-17-1 with the over. Hyun-Jin Ryu gets the start this evening. He is 3-1 on the season with a 2.55 ERA.
Walker Buehler improved to 4-0 on the season Monday as he pitched seven innings and allowed three runs with no walks and eight strikeouts. Julio Urias got his first save of the season with a perfect ninth. Chris Taylor led Los Angeles at the plate with two hits and two RBI while Justin Turner also had a pair of hits.
MLB Betting Trends
Atlanta
The Braves are 5-2 in their last seven games following a loss while Atlanta is 3-8 in their last 11 against NL West opponents.
Los Angeles
The Dodgers are 24-8 in their last 32 home games and 13-6 in their last 19 following a win.
Prediction:
Fried has been a really sound starter for Atlanta this season. He has been impressive against some pretty good lineups. However, pitching against the Dodgers in Los Angeles will be another level for him. Ryu has been very consistent thus far. He hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any appearance this year and he has gotten at least seven innings deep in three of his starts. Ryu walks few batters and I think he will definitely help the Dodgers continue their home dominance.
MLB Prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers -145
