MEMPHIS, TN (TheSpread) – With one week left before the 2011 U.S. Open, some of the top golfers will contend in the St. Jude Classic.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog, Lee Westwood is the favorite to win the tournament with 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are David Toms (12/1) and Zach Johnson (15/1).

Westwood is the defending champion of this event and he is currently second in the world rankings. Westwood has been tearing it up overseas, placing in the top 10 in his last four tournaments with two victories included. His last stop in America was an 11^th-place finish in the Masters.

Toms won this tournament in 2003 and 2004. Toms is coming off a win and a runner-up in his last two tournaments, one of the best stretches he has had in years. He has finished in the top 25 of his last six golf tournaments.

Zach Johnson has placed in the top 12 of his last three tournaments and he placed 12^th in this tournament last year. Johnson has just two top 10’s on the year.

The 2011 St. Jude Classic will be played at the TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee and runs from Thursday, June 9 to Sunday, June 12.
