PGA Honda Classic Picks
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The PGA Honda Classic get started Thursday morning. Here are a few golfers to consider for this event.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods come into the event as the favorites, as each have 8/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Adam Scott, who has 16/1 odds, along with Charl Schwartzl and Sergio Garcia, who each have 20/1 odds.
Here are our predictions for this weekend’s tournament.
McDowell has made a steady climb up to 15th in the world rankings. He has finished seventh or better in three straight events and has been 17th or better in six straight. He has finished ninth in this event the last two years, so he has a good understanding of what it takes to do well on this course.
After a poor start to 2013, Fowler had a bit of a rebound last week, finishing third at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championships. It was his first top 5 of the season. He has played well at this event, finishing 13th last year and seventh in 2012. This weekend could be the one where he gets back to winning.
Live Long Shot
Ranked 328th in the world, you’re not likely to find many that know much about Compton, but his recent performances have him on an upswing. He has made his last four cuts, including a 19th-place finish in the Farmers Insurance Open. This event last year was his top performance of the year, as he finished fourth. If Compton can dial up the same magic this weekend, it could result in a massive payout for you.
