My free winner for Sunday is on the ice is another total, but on ice.

Love tonight's Anaheim-San Jose game going Over, as the two California teams will easily get to the 6-goal mark, quite possibly by the end of the second period.

While I know we're talking about a pair of teams that are in the top 10 in the NHL in fewest goals against per game, not to mention in the bottom third of the league in scoring, this is a good scenario to watch the total run high.

Anaheim will be running on momentum after knocking off Southern California-rival Los Angeles on Friday, 2-1. This one being at home against an inspired San Jose team that just beat the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, 2-1, and both teams will be on the offensive prowl.

The Sharks arrive in Anaheim on a 5-2-2 run, and will look to steal a win from a Ducks team that also just beat the Pens, 5-3 last week.

So while we may have a pair of defensive teams on the ice, this is a situational spot you take advantage of.

San Jose has four players with at least 32 points - Brent Burns (7-30, 37), Joe Thornton (12-21, 33), Logan Couture (17-15, 32) and Joe Pavelski (9-22, 32) - so it's certainly not out of the question this team is capable of scoring points.

The Ducks will respond with their offense, as they've scored at least four goals in four of their last eight games - five in three of them.

Forget the defense and goaltending, these teams are putting on a show at the Pond tonight.

5* OVER Sharks/Ducks
