ATLANTA @ MILWAUKEE | 06/25 | 8:30 PM GMT
ATLANTA +7.5

ANALYSIS: Milwaukee beat the Nets in part due to big contributions from the likes of PJ Tucker and Brook Lopez, but the way the Hawks play offensively renders those two essentially unusable for the Bucks in this series -- they were a combined minus-16 with 11 points in 55 minutes in Milwaukee's Game 1 upset loss to Atlanta. I'm not sure Mike Budenholzer is a good enough coach to solve the issue. Do I think the Bucks lose a second straight at home Friday? No, but if oddsmakers want to keep gifting all these points on the Hawks, I'll keep taking them. The Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their past five after a loss.

N.Y. ISLANDERS +155

ANALYSIS: The Islanders scored three unanswered goals in Game 6 to force Game 7. The last time New York played in Tampa Bay, the Islanders were a no-show in the 8-0 loss. They have won the face-off battle in four of the six games. All the pressure is on the Lightning. Let's take the juicy underdog and watch the Islanders advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1984.

N.Y. ISLANDERS +155

ANALYSIS: The Islanders stormed back in Game 6 after being down 2-0 to win 3-2 in OT. However, I think it was the way it happened that was shocking. The Lightning were getting completely outplayed in the third period and they were just limping to the finish line. If theres one thing I know about Game 7, anything can happen. The better team doesn't always win so when I see a line that is this lopsided I have to go with the underdog. The Lightning were banged up in the last game also, but most notably Nikita Kucherov left after the first shift. I think the Islanders put on a defensive gem and move on to the Stanley Cup Finals.

CLEVELAND @ MINNESOTA | 06/25 | 8:10 PM EDT
OVER 9.5
ANALYSIS: The Over is 8-0 when the Twins are in the second game of a series when they scored in at most two separate innings in the opener. The Over also is 11-0 when the Indians are after a game in which they scored more runs off the bullpen than they did off the starter and they are not a dog of +130 or more.

COLORADO @ MILWAUKEE | 06/25 | 4:10 PM EDT
COLORADO +215
ANALYSIS: The Rockies are 6-0 in the first game of a series with rest on the road off a road game in which they hit at least one home run, and it is before the All-Star break. Colorado never trailed in any of the six wins. The Brewers are 0-5 as a favorite with Corbin Burnes when they lost in his last start against their opponent. Also, Milwaukee is 0-6 as a home favorite of -130 or more when they are off a one-run win.

N.Y. YANKEES @ BOSTON | 06/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
BOSTON +120
ANALYSIS: The Red Sox are 6-0 as a home dog after they were shutout, and it is before the All-Star break. The Yankees are 0-7 as a road favorite after a game as a home favorite in which Aaron Judge hit a home run. We're on the Red Sox.

SAN DIEGO -1.5
ANALYSIS: The Padres had a day off to come down from their sweep of the hated Dodgers. They've won seven straight playing in front of huge crowds at Petco. Now they host a Diamondbacks team that's dropped 23 straight road games and 19 of 20 overall. Arizona starter Corbin Martin has not lasted more than four innings in any of his last three outings. Play San Diego on the run line at -140.

UNDER 5
ANALYSIS: I am waiting to make my moneyline pick on this Game 7 until I hear the status of Bolts star and Conn Smythe candidate Nikita Kucherov -- although his absence would certainly help on the Under. I actually hate this number right on 5 goals and recommend buying up to 5.5 to avoid any push as I tend to think this game ends 3-2, but I also believe it's more likely to finish Under 5 goals than hit 6.

ARIZONA @ SAN DIEGO | 06/25 | 10:10 PM EDT
SAN DIEGO -1.5
ANALYSIS: The Diamondbacks head back out on the road where they have been awful. To make things worse, the Arizona starter tonight, Corbin Martin, has expected numbers that are worse than Matt Harvey's and has not made it into the fifth inning in any of his last three starts. Back the Padres on the spread at home to dominate the lowly Diamondbacks.

HOUSTON @ DETROIT | 06/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
HOUSTON -1.5
ANALYSIS: I'm going back to the Astros as they are on a streak of 11 straight covers and get to face Wily Peralta. In his last start, against the Angels, he finished with five earned runs, seven hits, two walks and two home runs allowed in just five innings. The Astros should make quick work of him tonight, and Framber Valdez should keep the Tigers to their average output. The Astros have scored 25 runs in the last two days; I see no reason they slow down tonight.

BALTIMORE @ TORONTO | 06/25 | 7:07 PM EDT
TORONTO -1.5
ANALYSIS: It is Matt Harvey day for the Blue Jays, and it comes at their home stadium. Harvey's xBA is .298 and xSLG is .509 with a whopping 7.80 ERA. I'll happily pay this juice to go against a pitcher who has allowed 16 earned runs in his last 10.2 innings. The Toronto pitching should be able to keep the Orioles in check, as they're much better against lefties, so I expect a blowout. This is one game where I would consider playing -2.5 for a better payout.

PHILADELPHIA @ N.Y. METS | 06/25 | 4:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -121
ANALYSIS: Game 1 of a doubleheader and thus scheduled for seven innings. The Phils are resting Andrew McCutchen in the opener (13 HRs, 39 RBIs). The Mets appear to be going with their regular lineup. Philadelphia starter Aaron Nola (5-4, 4.22) is having a disappointing season and has a 6.00 road ERA. He's 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA this year vs. the Mets, who start Taijuan Walker (6-3, 2.42). He might be getting at least a bit of Cy Young buzz if he wasn't on the same team as Jacob deGrom. Walker is 4-0 with a 1.49 ERA at home and has a 1.91 ERA during the day. The Phillies are 13-23 on the road and have lost four straight vs. right-handed pitchers.

N.Y. ISLANDERS @ TAMPA BAY | 06/25 | 8:00 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -160
ANALYSIS: Unfortunately I can't wait until about an hour before puck drop to find out if Bolts star Nikita Kucherov will be playing so we have to pick now. I found some internet rumors that he has a broken rib(s) and will not play, but that's 100 percent unconfirmed. If at all possible, I'm sure he will be out there. That said, I still have to take the Bolts at home (Islanders on puckline just not great value at -190). Home teams win about 58 percent of the time in Game 7s (see news feed). Crucial to score first, too, as about 75 percent of teams that do win Game 7. Tampa has the last line change and the more trustworthy netminder in Andrei Vasilevskiy. The Vezina finalist already has two series-clinching shutouts this year. Lightning-Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Final.

PITTSBURGH @ ST. LOUIS | 06/25 | 8:15 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS -172
ANALYSIS: Had a 5-1 MLB record on Thursday with the dang Cardinals my one loss. Seriously, if the Redbirds are somehow swept at home this weekend by the Bucs, Manager Mike Shildt might be gone Monday morning. However, I think St. Louis snaps its four-game skid and actually scores more than two runs for once tonight against shaky Pirates starter Wil Crowe (0-4, 6.42). His road ERA: 6.57. At night: 10.57. Cardinals lefty Kwang Hyun Kim (1-5, 3.60) will give five or so innings and allow 1-2 runs, and that frankly should be enough in this game. He has a 2.66 home ERA. Pittsburgh is just 4-12 vs. southpaws.

CHI. CUBS @ L.A. DODGERS | 06/25 | 10:10 PM EDT
L.A. DODGERS -172
ANALYSIS: The way the Dodgers are playing this price is clearly dangerous, but I also think there will be a sense of urgency on a season-high-tying four-game losing streak and after being no-hit at home in a huge upset loss to the Cubs on Thursday (we hit on the Under). The Dodgers hadn't been no-hit since Aug. 30, 2015, when they were blanked at home by the Cubs' Jake Arrieta -- who starts tonight for Chicago. However, 2021 Arrieta (5-8, 5.45) isn't close to what 2015 Arrieta was. Also, LA rested two key starters Thursday in Justin Turner and Will Smith (pinch-hit) and they will be back in there.

N.Y. YANKEES @ BOSTON | 06/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
BOSTON +1.5
ANALYSIS: The Red Sox as home dogs? Hmm. I guess I get it as Yankees are playing better than the Sox right now, and New York starter Domingo German (4-4, 4.17) is more trustworthy than Boston's Martin Perez (5-4, 4.32), but getting Boston at a plus runline at home is something I can't turn down. The Red Sox are 11-3 in their past 14 vs. right-handed starters and New York is 2-7 in its past nine series openers. The Red Sox swept the Yankees in New York in early June. FYI Boston fans: the team will honor former AL MVP and fan-favorite Dustin Pedroia before the game. Stuff like that can be motivating to current players.

BALTIMORE @ TORONTO | 06/25 | 7:07 PM EDT
TORONTO -1.5
ANALYSIS: It's Matt Harvey Day! For those who aren't familiar with that term, it's like a birthday for MLB bettors because whenever Harvey pitches over the past few years, it's easy money betting against his team. Harvey (3-9, 7.80) may well be the worst starter in MLB right now and frankly could be released if bombed again in Buffalo against one of the majors' best lineups. Harvey has not finished the fifth inning since May 1 and has an 11.49 ERA over that stretch. The Jays are not good value as massive ML favorites, but pretty good at -130 on the runline -- this will be a popular play on the site today and I see Justin Perri already concurs.

OAKLAND @ SAN FRANCISCO | 06/25 | 9:45 PM EDT
SAN FRANCISCO +101
ANALYSIS: A's starter Sean Manaea comes in one of the hottest pitchers in baseball with a 1.19 ERA in his last six starts. That's why the A's are a road favorite, but everything else points toward the Giants. The Giants are 24-10 at home and have won eight of their last nine while the A's have dropped four of six. Cueto is much better at home than on the road. The Giants' bullpen has a 1.95 ERA this month compared to the A's bullpen with a 4.58 ERA in June. The Giants have the best record in baseball and just keep winning, no matter who they plug into the lineup. Stick with what works!

N.Y. YANKEES @ BOSTON | 06/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
N.Y. YANKEES -130
ANALYSIS: The Red Sox aren't bad at home, but they haven't really been all that impressive. They are 20-17 and only have a plus-four run differential in Fenway Park. The Yankees, meanwhile, with a righty-heavy offense are built for a matchup in Fenway against a lefty in Martin Perez. Perez has a 6.68 ERA in his eight home starts this season, too. The Yankees have won seven of their last nine while the Red Sox have lost four of six. I don't love Domingo German here, though he was good last time against the Red Sox, but the Yankees have the superior bullpen the offense is going to feast.

COLORADO @ MILWAUKEE | 06/25 | 4:10 PM EDT
MILWAUKEE -1.5
ANALYSIS: The Rockies just won a road game, so they have surged all the way up to 6-28 away from Coors Field. Honestly, that only makes me feel better about them being terrible Friday afternoon. They hit .197/.272/.301 on the road and get to face Corbin Burnes. No, Burnes isn't the cheat code he was in April, but he's still plenty capable of stymying a terrible team. Plus, Rockies starter Jon Gray has a 6.75 ERA on the road this season. There's no reason to get cute. Take the better team with the better pitcher against the historically-bad road team. We get good odds on the -1.5 run line, too.

FEATURED PICK

N.Y. ISLANDERS @ TAMPA BAY | 06/25 | 8:00 PM EDT

PHILADELPHIA @ N.Y. METS | 06/25 | 4:10 PM EDT
N.Y. METS -121
ANALYSIS: Neither of these teams is playing particularly well lately, but the Mets are finally healthy and have the better bullpen. The Mets are 22-9 at home this season while the Phillies are 13-23 on the road this season. Aaron Nola has struggled all season, where he is 2-3 with a 6.00 ERA. Taijuan Walker has been one of the Mets best starters, take the Mets at home.

WASHINGTON @ MIAMI | 06/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
WASHINGTON +125
ANALYSIS: Jon Lester has been pitching well lately, having not allowed more than two runs in any of his last five starts. He didn’t allow a run in five innings against the Marlins earlier this season. Pablo Lopez has been very good this season but he has been hit or miss recently pitching two good starts and two poor starts in June. He didn’t allow a run in seven innings against the Nats in his first meeting this season. However, the Marlins have the worst wOBA in the league in June and the second worst wOBA in the league this season. They are 15-25 against lefty starters this season, third worst win percentage in the league and the Nats have won five straight games while the Marlins have lost four straight. Take the Nats.

L.A. ANGELS @ TAMPA BAY | 06/25 | 7:10 PM EDT
TAMPA BAY -153
ANALYSIS: The Angels have lost three games in a row after their winning streak and they travel across the country to face the Rays. Andrew Kittridge is opening for Josh Fleming and he has been hit or miss this season. The Angels actually have the fifth best wOBA in the league against lefties but they have the eighth worst win percentage in the league at 17-25 against lefty starters (yes, I know technically a lefty isn’t starting). The Rays just took two of three games from the Red Sox after a cold streak and Griffin Canning has struggled with walks and home runs this season. Walks and home runs are what the Rays feast on.

BALTIMORE @ TORONTO | 06/25 | 7:07 PM EDT
TORONTO -219
ANALYSIS: The Blue Jays have won five games in a row while the Orioles have lost six games in a row and 20 in a row on the road. Matt Harvey has allowed 17 earned runs in 13.2 IP this month and he allowed four runs in 4.1 IP in his last start against the Blue Jays. Alek Manoah struggled in his last start against the Orioles allowing four home runs in 3.1 IP before being ejected. It’s a steep price but I don’t see Matt Harvey being the starter that stops the Orioles 20-game road losing streak. Take the Blue Jays at home.

Game: (581) Atlanta Hawks at (582) Milwaukee Bucks
Date/Time: Jun 25 2021 8:35 PM EDT
Betting Line Provider: Consensus Line
Play Rating: 4 units
Play: Atlanta Hawks +7.5 (-110)

We were on the Hawks for game 1 in this series, an outright win for Atlanta with 7.5 points in our pocket. So what do the odds makers do? They put up almost the exact same number for game 2. This Bucks team is the same team we’ve seen the past 2 seasons. They’re poorly coached, and really shouldn’t even be in this position. If the Nets were anywhere close to healthy they would have taken care of Milwaukee. Atlanta is a great team for us to bet on because they can really shoot the basketball, which makes them “live” to win every game. We’ll put the points in our pocket again for insurance. Take the Hawks.
Line Parameter: 4 units at +7 or higher, 3 units at +6.5 or lower

Game: (907) Washington Nationals at (908) Miami Marlins
Date/Time: Jun 25 2021 7:10 PM EDT
Betting Line Provider: Consensus Line
Play Rating: 5 units
Play: Washington Nationals +123 J Lester (LHP), P Lopez (RHP) Must Start

Washington kept their winning streak alive on Thursday with an easy 7-3 win in their opening game in Miami. The Nationals have now won 10 of their past 11 games with Jon Lester heading to the mound Friday. Lester has been rock solid, not allowing more than 2 earned runs in any of his past 5 starts. This is a team in great “current form,” and we’re getting them at a bargain price. The Marlins have now lost 4 straight games and 8 of their past 10. They’re getting some support because Pablo Lopez has pitched well this season, but Miami’s offense hasn’t done anything worth backing. In fact, they’ve scored a total of just 5 runs in their past 4 games. Take the Nationals.
Line Parameter: 5 units at +120 or higher, 4 units at lower than +120
Game: (929) Seattle Mariners at (930) Chicago White Sox
Date/Time: Jun 25 2021 8:10 PM EDT
Betting Line Provider: Consensus Line
Play Rating: 4 units
Play: Chicago White Sox -1.5 (+105) Y Kikuchi (LHP), C Rodon (LHP) Must Start

After a day off Thursday the White Sox return home to start a 3 game set with Seattle. Chicago has been a great money maker for us all season long and there’s no reason to think that will stop here. Carlos Rodon owns an ERA of 1.83 and hasn’t allowed more than 1 run in 4 of his past 5 starts. Expect the offense to put up some crooked numbers in this one and take Chicago run line.
Line Parameter: 4 units as underdog, 3 units as favorite

Drew Smyly has not pitched great this year, but has the advantage going against a Reds team that struggles to hit left handed pitching. Vladimir Gutierrez is a good young pitcher, but he has to get his walks down if he wants to be a house hold name one day. At even money we will go with the more experienced pitcher who is starting to settle in. Take the Braves
