2015 NASCAR Bojangles’ Southern 500 Free Picks & Predictions

The Bojangles’ Southern 500 takes place tonight under the lights at Darlington Raceway. Here are some drivers we like in this NASCAR race.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kevin Harvick is favored to win this race, as he has 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (5/1), Joey Logano (7/1) and Matt Kenseth (7/1). The Bojangles’ Southern 500 takes place on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 7:20PM ET from Darlington Raceway.
Matt Kenseth continues to be a hot driver to play and we are going to suggest him again this week. He starts in 14th position but is racing at a track that he has done well at. He has one win at Darlington with an average finish of 10.1 and a driver rating of 93.2. Despite a rough ride last week, Kenseth had three top 5s and two wins prior to that and we see more of a return to that form tonight.
Jeff Gordon starts fifth tonight and he has 20/1 odds to win. Gordon could use a win heading into the Chase and Darlington may be the right place for that to happen. His numbers at this track are as strong as anyone in the field. Gordon is a seven-time winner here with an average finish of 7.4. His driver rating at the track is 112.7, which is best in the field. Look for Gordon to make a strong run tonight.
Austin Dillon is a long shot to win tonight with 75/1 odds to win. His starting position isn’t ideal, as he begins 29th, but we like him to be in the mix tonight. Dillon needs a win in one of the next two races to get into the Chase for the Championship, so he has to be aggressive and he has finished in the top 15 in three of his last four races, including one top-5 finish. He finished 11th at this track last year and we think he is a strong dark horse pick tonight.
