Jayhawks beat up again
Kansas is coming off a 38-10 loss at home to Kansas State two weeks ago. The Jayhawks have lost five of their last six games to drop to 3-6 on the season and 1-5 in the Big 12. Kansas is 4-5 against the spread and 5-4 with the over.
The Jayhawks have struggled on defense this year, giving up 33.3 points and 473.2 yards per game. Offensively, Kansas is putting up 25.8 points and 384.9 yards per contest. Quarterback Carter Stanley has thrown for 2,015 yards and 19 touchdowns to lead the offense. Andrew Parchment is the leading receiver with 47 catches for 663 yards and six touchdowns while Pooka Williams Jr. is the leading receiver with 765 yards and three scores.
Cowboys heating up
Oklahoma State is riding back-to-back wins over TCU and Iowa State by a score of 34-27. The two wins have moved the Cowboys to 6-3 on the season and 3-3 in the Big 12. OSU is 7-2 against the spread and 5-4 with the over.
The Cowboys have one of the stronger offenses in the nation, averaging 37.1 points and 500 yards per game. Defensively, Oklahoma State is allowing 29.3 points and 438.2 yards per contest. Chuba Hubbard is leading the offense with 1,604 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. Quarterback Spencer Sanders has thrown or 1,897 yards and 15 touchdowns, but also has 11 interceptions. Sanders also has rushed for 588 yards and two scores. Tyler Wallace is the leading receiver with 53 catches for 903 yards and eight touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Kansas
The Jayhawks have hit the over in four straight road games, but are 4-1 with the under in their last five games in November.
Oklahoma State
The Cowboys are 9-0 with the over in their last nine home games against a team with a losing road record 14-6 with the over in their last 20 conference games.
Prediction:
These two have hit the over in four straight and the trends strongly support the over as well. For as good as the Oklahoma State offensive numbers are, they haven’t put up more than 35 points in six straight games. They will have to do better than that this week to hit the over. I think that will be done at home against Kansas. The Jayhawks have given up at least 50 points in both conference road games this year and I don’t see Kansas slowing down the Oklahoma State run game. The Jayhawks should also be able to find a fair share of points against this Cowboy defense as well. Look for plenty of touchdowns on Saturday.
