Public Betting Trends

According to the latest oddsmakers, the Blazers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Suns. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 231 points. The public betting currently has 65 percent going on the Blazers as the home favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Suns end losing streak

Phoenix put an end to an 8-game losing streak on Saturday with a 112-110 win at Sacramento. The Suns are 12-20 on the season, 6-8 on the road, 17-14-1 against the spread and 19-13 with the over.

The Suns are a strong offensive team this season, averaging 114 points per game while shooting 46 percent as a team. The defense of the Suns has struggled, allowing 115 points per game while opponents shoot 47.8 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from the arc. The Suns are led by Devin Booker, who is averaging 24.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest. Kelly Oubre Jr. is adding 17.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest.

Blazers on a skid again

Portland had a four-game win streak going just a few weeks ago, but the Blazers have now lost and failed to cover in three straight following a 128-120 loss to the Lakers at home on Saturday. The Blazers are 14-19 on the season, 8-8 at home, 13-18-2 against the spread and 17-16 with the over.

The Blazers are putting up 112.5 points per game on offense while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor. Defensively, Portland is giving up 113.7 points per game while opponents shoot 44.3 percent against them. Damian Lillard is leading the team with 27 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game. CJ McCollum is adding 22.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Phoenix

The Suns are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games when playing on 1 day of rest, but just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a win.

Portland

The Blazers are 1-4 against the spread in their last five Monday games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss.

Prediction:

Portland won the first meeting with Phoenix on the road two weeks ago, but the Suns did cover. I don’t see it happening tonight. The Blazers are a team that can score and the Suns are a terrible defensive team. Phoenix continues to be without Deandre Ayton due to injury, which keeps them from being able to protect the paint. The Suns can score as well, but I don’t see them keeping pace with the Blazers on the road. I like Portland as a small favorite due to their ability to play Phoenix’ game better than the Suns themselves.

NBA Prediction: Portland Trail Blazers -4
