Mavs back at full strength

The Dallas Mavericks got Luka Doncic back on the floor on Thursday and they have won their last two games upon his return. Dallas comes into tonight’s game 21-10 overall, 12-3 on the road, 18-13 against the spread and 20-11 with the over.

Dallas has a very explosive offense that is averaging 117.5 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent as a team and 36.9 percent from the arc. Defensively, the Mavericks are allowing 108.9 points per game while opponents shoot 44.3 percent from the field. Doncic is averaging 29.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game to lead the team, while Kristaps Porzingis is adding 17.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest.

Lakers end skid

Los Angeles is coming off a 128-120 win at Portland last night to put an end to a four-game losing streak. The Lakers are 25-7 on the season, 10-4 at home, 17-15 against the spread and 18-14 with the under.

Offensively, Los Angeles is averaging 112.6 points per game while shooting an impressive 48.2 percent as a team. Anthony Davis is averaging 27.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game for Los Angeles, while LeBron James is adding 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 10.8 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Dallas

The Mavs are 19-6-1 against the spread in their last 26 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games on no rest.

Los Angeles

The Lakers are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games as a favorite, but 4-1 ATS in their last five games on no rest.

Prediction:

The road team has won and covered in both meetings this season, including the 114-100 win for Dallas on Dec. 1. In that game, Doncic put on a show to lead the Mavericks to the win. LeBron can’t let that happen again at home. If anything, LeBron is pretty prideful and likes to be challenged. He knows he is going to have to step up tonight to best Doncic. Dallas is on a back-to-back on the road and that can be tough to produce great results. Los Angeles at least had the comforts of home.

NBA Prediction: Los Angeles Lakers -4
