The Oklahoma City Thunder had their four-game win streak come to an end on Sunday in a 114-112 loss at home to Minnesota. OKC is 21-11 overall, 9-7 on the road, 18-14 against the spread and 17-15 with the under.

Oklahoma City has one of the best defenses in the league right now. The Thunder are giving up just 105.6 points per game while holding opponents to only 33.8 percent shooting from the arc. Offensively, the Thunder average 112 points per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the field. Russell Westbrook has been leading the team with 20.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and 10.3 assists per contest while Paul George adds 26.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

Rockets heating up

The Houston Rockets have won six of their last seven games coming into today, including a 108-101 win at home over the Spurs on Saturday. Houston is now 17-15 on the season, 10-5 at home, 14-17-1 against the spread and 17-15 with the over.

Houston is averaging 109.2 points per game on offense this season, but that number has been growing over recent weeks. Defensively, the Rockets are giving up 108.5 points per game while opponents shoot 47.4 percent from the field. Chris Paul finds himself on the shelf for a while again, this time due to a hamstring injury. Paula has been averaging 15.6 points and 8.0 assists per game this year. James Harden is leading the team with 32.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.

NBA Betting Trends

Oklahoma City

The Thunder are just 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 Tuesday games, but 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings with Houston.

Houston

The Rockets are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six home games and 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven overall.

Prediction:

Houston suffered a setback with Paul getting injured. The Rockets have struggled to keep him healthy during his time there. The loss of Paul should really set them back tonight against the Thunder and their strong guard play. Westbrook and Harden should take over the game, but Westbrook definitely has the stronger support around him, especially Paul George.

NBA Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder +1.5
