According to oddsmakers at, the Warriors are the favorite at home today, as they are getting odds of -9 points against the Lakers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 234 points. Lakers in a slight funk

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a slight funk, losing three of their last four following a 107-99 loss at home to Memphis on Sunday night. L.A. is now 19-14 on the season, 7-9 on the road, 13-19-1 against the spread and 20-12-1 with the under.

The Lakers are putting up 112.8 points per game on offense while shooting 47.8 percent from the floor. Defensively, Los Angeles is giving up 111.3 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot just 45.1 percent. JaVale McGee is still dealing with a flu bug and may not play tonight while Tyson Chandler is questionable with a back injury. LeBron James is leading the team with 27.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game while Kyle Kuzma is adding 18.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.

Warriors struggling to cover

The Golden State Warriors are picking up wins, taking four of their last five games. However, they are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games. Golden State is 23-11 on the season, 15-3 at home, 14-20 against the spread and 18-16 with the over.

The Warriors are still one of the best offenses in the NBA, averaging 116 points per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. The defense allows 111.1 points per game while opponents shoot 45.2 percent from the floor. Kevin Durant is dealing with an ankle injury, but expect to play today. Durant is averaging 29.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game to lead the team while Stephen Curry adds 29.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five when playing on 1 day of rest.

Golden State

The Warriors are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five after a win.

The Warriors are being given another big spread to cover, but I think it will be difficult to do tonight. While the Lakers haven’t been stellar on the road, this is more than just the average road game. This is a chance for LeBron and the Lakers to make a statement. I would expect the best out of James today against the Warriors, who haven’t quite found their groove on defense yet. While the Warriors are likely to win, I think this came will come down to the end in a great primetime show.
