The Clippers will use "a few sets" in the triangle offense this season, because Kawhi Leonard "expressed a desire to perform in the triangle." “We have put in two or three sets of the triangle and let Kawhi play in those spaces where Kobe and Jordan played,” said coach Tyronn Lue. It sounds like these sets will be used sporadically, perhaps when the halfcourt offense stagnates, but it's still a great indication that Lue is steering the offense toward his stars, Kawhi and Paul George. Kawhi's ADP of 13.5 puts him outside the first round in most leagues, mitigating his inevitable DNPs sprinkled throughout the season.

LeBron James finished Friday’s win over the Suns with 20 points (6-of-11 FGs, 5-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes. Friday’s preseason finale was a mixed bag for James, but there should be no concerns heading into the regular season. While the reigning NBA Finals MVP shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, he was just 5-of-10 from the foul line and also committed a game-high eight turnovers. James should be fine once the results truly matter, beginning Tuesday night against the Clippers. The concern regarding James' fantasy value is the condensed schedule, and the Lakers' focus on being ready for another deep playoff run. That could mean that he stays on the board longer than a player of his skill level should, especially in H2H formats.

Warriors vs. Nets NBA Prediction

The Clippers are a perfect 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games versus the Lakers and are 5-1 against the number in their last six games coming off a double-digit loss at home. They’re also 11-3 against the number in their last 14 road games, are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games coming off a loss of more than 10 points and are 25-9 at the betting window in their last 34 games coming off a loss. The Lakers, meanwhile, are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games dating back to last season and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games as a favorite.
