San Antonio Spurs Fantasy Spin
LaMarcus Aldridge made 4-of-10 from the field for 10 points with nine rebounds, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes during a 124-98 win on Friday. He didn't play in the fourth quarter with the Spurs extending their 71-87 lead to start the last frame. Aldridge only had a 22.2 usage rate for his lowest since Nov. 18. and his playing time is tied for his second lowest, as well. His playing time has slightly dropped, but it's because the Spurs have blown teams out in five of the last six. Hopefully, all this time off will help his durability later in the season.
Houston Rockets Fantasy Spin
An MRI revealed Chris Paul has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks. ESPN reported that the Rockets are hopeful that CP3 misses 2-3 weeks, and the Houston Chronicle also reported Paul could only miss 2-4 weeks. A Grade 2 means there's slight damage to his muscle, and the Rockets certainly will take extra time to make sure he's OK given his history and age at 33. James Harden could be dropping a lot of 40-point monster lines while Eric Gordon gets ample opportunity to heat up after a slow start to the season. P.J. Tucker should also play huge minutes.
