Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Warriors are 11.5-point favorites to beat the Mavericks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 224.5 points and as of this writing, 60% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Warriors to cover the point spread.

Dallas Mavericks Fantasy Spin

Dennis Smith Jr. (right wrist sprain) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game vs. Golden State. Speaking with reporters on Thursday, coach Rick Carlisle said that he "feels it's unlikely" that Smith will play in any of the Mavs three remaining games on their current road trip. Jalen Brunson, J.J. Barea and Devin Harris will continue to divvy up minutes at point guard.

Golden State Warriors Fantasy Spin

Draymond Green vowed to continue firing away from 3-point territory despite his struggles from beyond the arc this season. "I’m not," Green said when asked if he's been frustrated by the shooting slump. "Because I know it will fall at some point." Since getting back from the toe injury, Green has gone just 1-of-10 from beyond the arc and is shooting a career-low 20.6% from 3-point range on the year. The Jazz didn't even attempt to guard him from the perimeter on Wednesday, but Green couldn't make them pay. That said, he's a career 32.4% 3-point shooter, so he should be able to turn this around at some point, particularly if teams leave him wide-open.

Prediction

The Mavericks have been a horrible play in this series, going 21-44-1 against the spread in their last 66 games versus the Warriors and just 2-7 at the betting window in their last nine games played in Oakland. They’ve also struggled to cover recently, posting an 0-5 ATS record in their last five games overall and an 0-5 ATS record in their last five road games. A covering machine recently, Dallas has fallen off and is just 5-9 against the spread on the road this season.

Saturday NBA Prediction: Golden State Warriors -11.5
