Warriors vs. Kings Prediction

Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings, 12/14/18 Predictions & Odds

The Golden State Warriors have not been very good on the road this year. Can they erase some of their road woes tonight when they face the Sacramento Kings at 10PM ET?

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Warriors are favored on the road in this game, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Kings. The over/under total for the contest is currently listed at 235.5 points. The public betting currently has 73 percent going on the Warriors as the road favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Warriors dominated by Raptors

The Warriors seemed to be heating up, riding a four-game winning streak, but that was put to a halt on Wednesday in a 113-93 loss at home to Toronto. Golden State is 19-10 overall, 7-7 on the road, 13-16 against the spread and 15-14 with the over.

Golden State is still a very dangerous offense. The Warriors averaging 115.6 points per game while shooting a league-best 49.2 percent from the field. Defensively, the Warriors give up 110.6 points per game while opponents shoot 45 percent against them. Backup guard Shaun Livingston is out tonight and Andre Iguodala is questionable to play due to a hip injury. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are each averaging 28.9 points per game this year. Durant adds 7.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per contest.

Kings heating up

Sacramento is flirting with finally turning the corner as a franchise. They have won five of their last six games, covering the spread in all five wins. The Kings are now 15-12 on the season, 7-5 at home, 17-10 against the spread and 17-10 with the over.

The Kings have a competitive offense as well, as they average 115.3 points per game. They are the top-shooting team from 3-point land so far, hitting 39.4 percent of their attempts. Defensively, Sacramento is not too strong. The Kings are giving up 115.5 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 47.3 percent. Buddy Hield is leading the team with 18.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while De’Aaron Fox is adding 17.9 points and 7.6 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Golden State

The Warriors have covered the spread in four of their last five road games, but are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven following a loss.

The Kings are 10-1 against the spread in their last 11 games playing on 1 day of rest and 5-1 ATS in their last six following a win.

The Kings have some potential, but their recent hot streak has largely come against poor teams. Sacramento is a team that relies on offense and is going to play a team that has plenty of offense of its own. The Warriors can actually play defense at times, where the Kings haven not really shown that much. A track meet is not the way to beat Golden State and I don’t think this young team is ready to beat a team the caliber of the Warriors.

NBA Prediction: Golden State Warriors -7.5
