Mavericks vs. Warriors Pick
Will Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors cover the spread tonight at 10:30PM ET when they host the Dallas Mavericks?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are a 10.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 213 points.
Dallas is 8-20 overall and 13-14-1 ATS after 95-89 home win over the Spurs. Golden State enters with a 22-6 overall record and 13-15 ATS following a 111-104 home victory over the Trail Blazers, its seventh consecutive win. The Warriors won the first meeting this season 133-103 on Oct. 23 in Dallas. Golden State is 4-0 straight up and 3-1 ATS in four meetings since the start of last season. The over-under is 2-2.
The Mavericks were led by Harrison Barnes with 17 points, six rebounds and three steals in the win over San Antonio. Yogi Ferrell had 16 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Wesley Matthews contributed 16 points, five rebounds and four assists. JJ Barea added 16 points, six rebounds and six assists off the bench. Dallas outscored the Spurs 28-20 in the fourth quarter.
Kevin Durant tallied 28 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots in the victory over Portland. Klay Thompson recorded 24 points, three rebounds and three assists. Nick Young added 12 points and two rebounds off the bench. Golden State led 60-47 at halftime.
Dallas is 19-42-1 in the last 63 meetings. The over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.
This spread would be much higher if Steph Curry and Draymond Green were in the lineup tonight. Green has a small chance to play, but is listed as doubtful with a shoulder injury. Even so, Durant and Thompson can more than fill up the offensive load and Durant will likely match up with Barnes on the other side of the floor. It's hard to see how the Mavs keep this one close with their lack of firepower. Only Barea off the bench could be a saving grace, but don't count on it. Take the Warriors at home.
