Bucks flip flopping
The Milwaukee Bucks have alternated wins and losses over their last eight games and are coming off a 105-95 loss at home to the Warriors. Milwaukee is 16-8 on the season, 4-5 on the road, 12-11-1 against the spread and 15-9 with the over. The Bucks are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven.
The Bucks have the highest-scoring offense in the NBA, as they average 120.0 points per game while shooting 48.3 percent from the floor. They also lead the league in rebounding at 50.5 per game. Defensively, Milwaukee is giving up 110.2 points per game while holding opponents to just 44.1 percent from the field. Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the team with 26.8 points, 13.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game. Khris Middleton is adding 18.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
Raptors shocked by Nets
The Raptors had a surprising loss on the road on Friday, losing 106-105 in OT to the Brooklyn Nets for their second loss in three games. The Raptors are now 21-6 on the season, 11-3 at home, 13-14 against the spread and 16-11 with the over. Toronto is 1-4 ATS in its last five.
Toronto has been strong on both sides of the ball this season. They are scoring 116.0 points per game on offense while shooting 48.6 percent this season. On defense, the Raptors are giving up just 108.0 points per game while holding opponents to 44.3 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard has been a great addition for the team. He is averaging 26.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Kyle Lowry is adding 14.2 points and 10.1 assists per game.
NBA Betting Trends
The Bucks are 3-11 against the spread in their last 14 road games, but 7-2 ATS in their last nine following a loss.
The Raptors are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games and 1-5 ATS in their last six against Central opponents.
The Bucks beat the Raptors back on Oct. 29, 124-109. However, like with what happened with Golden State on Friday, I see Toronto avenging that loss today. The Raptors have been the best in the East and seem to rise up for this biggest games. Their losses have tended to come when overlooking a lesser opponent. I don’t see that happening today due to the previous loss. Milwaukee also hasn’t been great on the road. I think the Bucks will get overwhelmed early.
NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors -5.5
