According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, Utah is the slight favorite at home, as the Jazz are getting odds of -2 points against the Rockets. The over/under total for the contest is currently listed at 215.5 points. The public betting currently has 70 percent going on the Jazz at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Rockets struggling to get on track

The Houston Rockets were seeking a three-game winning streak on Monday, but suffered a 103-91 loss at Minnesota to fall to 11-12 on the season. Houston is 6-7 on the road, 9-14 against the spread and 14-9 with the over. The Rockets are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight.

The Rockets haven’t been able to find their offensive chemistry this season. They rank just 18th in the league in scoring (109.2 ppg), 21st in shooting (44.9 percent) and 23rd in 3-point percentage (34.2). Defensively, Houston is allowing 109.5 points per game, but holding opponents to just 47.3 percent shooting. James Harden is putting up 30.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game this season while Clint Capela is adding 18.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.

Jazz heating up

Utah is coming off an impressive 139-105 win over the Spurs at home on Tuesday for its third win in four games. The Jazz are now 12-13 overall, 3-6 at home, 12-13 against the spread and 16-9 with the over. Utah also has covered the spread in three of its last four.

Despite the big scoring total on Tuesday, the Jazz are averaging just 107 points per game on offense this year and shooting only 33.8 percent from the arc. Defensively, the Jazz are giving up just 107.8 points per game and allowing the third-fewest rebounds in the league at 42.2 per game. Donovan Mitchell is putting up 21.3 points and 3.6 assists per game to lead the Jazz this season while Rudy Gobert is adding 15.5 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.12 blocks per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Houston

The Rockets are just 1-4 ATS in their last five on the road and 1-5 ATS in their last five against Northwest opponents.

Utah

The Jazz have covered in six of their last eight against Southwest Division opponents and 4-1 ATS in their last five games on 1 day of rest.

Prediction:

Utah won the first meeting this season at Houston, 100-89, back on Oct. 24. The Jazz are the team with a little more momentum right now, as the Rockets can’t find any consistency on offense. The Jazz have the guard play to keep up with the likes of Harden and Chris Paul, and I think that will make it tough for the Rockets to score once again. Harden is going to get his points, but his supporting cast will struggle.

NBA Prediction: Utah Jazz -2
