Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin
Markelle Fultz has been diagnosed with Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, according to his agent, Raymond Brothers. TOS, for short, affects nerves between the neck and shoulder resulting in abnormal functional movement and range of motion, which obviously affects Fultz' ability to shoot a basketball. It's a treatable injury, but the fact that something was discovered here after the 76ers' medical staff had deemed Fultz healthy could cause irreparable harm to their relationship. The 76ers are listing him as "out indefinitely," but there's reportedly some optimism that he can return in 3-6 weeks, depending on how he responds to treatment.
Toronto Raptors Fantasy Spin
Kyle Lowry (back) hit just 1-of-7 shots in his return to action on Monday vs. the Nuggets, finishing with five points, 11 assists, three boards, one steal, three blocks and one triple in 34 minutes. He only had two free throws and was settling for outside shots with six attempts from deep. Maybe his back was limiting him, but the Toronto reporters made it sound like Lowry was simply rested vs. the Cavaliers. Either way, we'd expect to see a much different Lowry in Wednesday's showdown vs. the 76ers.
