Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Thunder are 7-point favorites to beat the Nets. The total, meanwhile, sits at 217 points and as of this writing, 73% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Thunder to cover the point spread.
Oklahoma City Thunder Fantasy Spin
Russell Westbrook scored 18 points (7-of-17 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs) with six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two triples and five turnovers in Monday's easy 110-83 win over the Pistons. He played just 29 minutes in the lopsided win and didn't have to touch the floor in the fourth quarter. The Thunder are now 15-3 since their 0-4 start and Westbrook's value should trend up when his 3-point percentage comes back up -- he's hitting just 22.3 from deep on nearly five attempts per game. Paul George added 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in 31 minutes and also took an early seat.
Brooklyn Nets Fantasy Spin
D'Angelo Russell scored 30 points in Monday's 99-97 loss to the Cavaliers as the Nets dropped their seventh straight game. Russell hit 13-of-31 shots and 4-of-12 triples with eight rebounds, six assists and two steals in 33 minutes. He's been a usage rate monster since the Caris LeVert injury, but he's basically putting up early-round counting stats with late-round efficiency which has resulted in a top-70 rank in 9-category leagues so far. Snapping this losing streak won't be easy with a matchup against the Thunder on Wednesday.
