Kings looking to get over .500

Sacramento put an end to a three-game losing streak on Saturday when the Kings defeated the Pacers at home, 111-110. Sacramento is 11-11 overall, 13-9 against the spread and 14-8 with the over. The Kings are 4-2 ATS in their last six.

The Kings have been very effective on offense this season. They are seventh in the NBA in scoring at 114.3 points per game and second in the league in 3-point shooting at 38.5 percent. Defense has been another story. The Kings rank 29th in defensive scoring (117.1 ppg) and 23rd in defensive FG percentage (47.2). Buddy Hield is putting up 18.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game to lead the Kings this season while De’Aaron Fox is averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 assists per contest.

Suns drop fifth straight

The Suns lost their fifth straight game back on Sunday, 120-96 at the Lakers. They have had four of their five losses in this streak come by double figures. Phoenix is now 4-19 overall, 8-15 against the spread and 14-9 with the under. They have failed to cover in five straight as well.

Despite a lot of young talent, the Suns are struggling on offense this year. They average just 103 points while shooting only 33.9 percent from the arc. Defensively, Phoenix gives up 113.7 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 48.2 percent from the field. The team has been without a couple of key players that will also be out tonight. Guard Devin Booker is still dealing with a hamstring injury while forward T.J. Warren is doubtful with an ankle injury. Those two were the leading two scorers on the team, averaging over 41 points per game. Rookie Deandre Ayton will have to step up in their absence. He is averaging 16.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this year.

NBA Betting Trends

Sacramento

The Kings are just 3-11 against the spread in their last 14 division games, but 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400.

Phoenix

The Suns are 7-19 against the spread in their last 26 division games and 1-5 ATS in their last six conference games.

Prediction:

The Suns just don’t have the offensive weapons to keep up with almost anyone right now. The Kings are putting up the points through a team effort, while the Suns have a lot of unproven talent and hoping someone gets hot. The Suns aren’t much for defense either, which leads to a lot of lopsided games. The Kings aren’t a road favorite often, but you can feel comfortable with them tonight.

NBA Prediction: Sacramento Kings -5.5
