Rockets vs. Spurs Prediction
The Houston Rockets have struggled with four straight losses as point guard Chris Paul has missed each of them with a hamstring injury. Will Houston continue its skid tonight when it plays the in-state rival San Antonio Spurs?

Rockets blown out by Mavs
Houston (9-11) lost its fourth straight game Wednesday night at home by a score of 128-108 against Dallas. The Rockets were led by James Harden as he recorded a triple-double with 25 points on 7-of-15 shooting plus 17 assists, 11 rebounds and six steals. James Ennis III contributed 18 points and three boards. Clint Capela had 18 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots. Danuel House Jr. recorded 18 points and five rebounds as a reserve. Eric Gordon added 17 points, three assists and two blocks. The Mavericks outscored the hosts 32-19 in the fourth quarter to put it away.
Spurs dominated by T-Wolves
San Antonio was no match for host Minnesota Wednesday night as it fell by a 128-89 score. Jakob Poeltl paced the Spurs (10-11) with 14 points off the bench to go with 7-of-11 shooting plus eight rebounds. Quincy Pondexter tallied 13 points, four boards and three assists off the bench. Marco Belinelli had 11 points and two assists off the bench. LaMarcus Aldridge registered 10 points, nine boards and two assists. DeMar DeRozan added 10 points, four blocked shots, two rebounds and two assists. San Antonio trailed 28-28 after one quarter and was then outscored 29-9 in the second quarter to trail by 23 at halftime.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The over is 6-0 in the last six Rockets games overall. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
San Antonio
The Spurs are 0-7 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a losing straight up record. The over is 5-0-1 in the last six San Antonio games overall.
Prediction:
The Rockets are in a slide again and Paul is once again questionable for this one, although with the caution they are exercising with him it would be almost surprising if he returned here. Houston has played a number of high-scoring games with Harden leading the way, so I wouldn't argue against taking the over. But I'm going to play the Spurs on a short spread at home and try to take advantage of Houston's struggles.
