Dinwiddie wins it for Nets

Spencer Dinwiddie hit a fadeaway jumper with 1.9 seconds remaining Monday night to send Brooklyn to a 108-106 victory at Cleveland. The Nets (9-8, 4-5 away) were outscored 31-27 in the fourth quarter by the Cavs but managed to find a way to the win. Dinwiddie paced Brooklyn with 23 points on 10-of-24 shooting including 1-of-5 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also contributed nine assists and three blocked shots. Jarrett Allen had a monster game with 22 points, 21 boards, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Joe Harris tallied 19 points, six caroms and two steals. Taurean Prince added 18 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Celtics hold off Kings

Boston earned a 103-102 victory Monday night at home over Sacramento to improve to 12-4 overall and 6-0 at home. The Celtics were outscored 56-50 in the second half but managed to hang on for the win. Jaylen Brown paced Boston with 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point range plus 4-of-5 at the charity stripe. He also pulled down four rebounds. Jayson Tatum tallied 20 points, six boards and three assists. Marcus Smart racked up 17 points, seven dimes, five steals and three rebounds. Enes Kanter added 13 points, nine caroms and two assists.

NBA Betting Trends

Brooklyn

The Nets are 0-6 ATS in their last six games versus the Atlantic Division. Brookyln is 2-6 ATS in its last eight Wednesday games.

Boston

The Celtics are 4-1-2 ATS in their last seven games versus the Eastern Conference. Boston is 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings.

Prediction:

Brooklyn has taken advantage of a pretty soft schedule as Kyrie Irving remains out with a shoulder injury, but that ends here. Boston is likely to have Kemba Walker back tonight after he missed time following a scary injury. With the court leader back on the floor, this one could become one-sided quickly as the Nets can only go as far as Dinwiddie takes them. Considering the Celtics' backcourt defense is outstanding, it might be difficult for Dinwiddie to have his usual output. Take the hosts in this spot.
