Sacramento Kings vs. Boston Celtics, 11/25/19 Prediction & Odds

The Sacramento Kings won last night on the front end of a back-to-back before traveling to play the Boston Celtics tonight. Can Sacramento keep it competitive enough to stay within the number in this spot?

Kings get past Wizards

Sacramento earned a 113-106 victory Sunday night at Washington to improve to 7-8 overall and 3-5 on the road. The Kings outscored the Wizards 56-49 in the second half to secure the win. Harrison Barnes led Sacramento with 26 points on 7-of-8 shooting including 3-of-3 from 3-point range plus 9-of-11 at the free throw line. He also pulled down four rebounds. Bogdan Bogdanovic accounted for 21 points, four boards and four assists off the bench. Buddy Hield registered 18 points, five dimes and two rebounds. Richaun Holmes recorded 16 points, 10 caroms, four blocked shots and two steals. Cory Joseph added 10 points, five assists, two boards and two steals.

Celtics fall at Nuggets

Boston lost by a score of 96-92 Friday night at Denver to drop to 11-4 overall and 6-4 on the road. Celtics point guard Kemba Walker was stretchered off the floor in a scary incident and will likely miss tonight's game with a brain injury. Boston outscored the Nuggets 35-26 in the fourth quarter but ultimately could not get over the hump. Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with 22 points on 6-of-15 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point range plus 6-of-8 at the free throw line. He also registered 10 rebounds and four assists. Jayson Tatum accounted for 16 points, three assists and two boards. Marcus Smart tallied 15 points, six caroms, three assists and two steals. Brad Wanamaker added 14 points, four dimes and two rebounds off the bench.

NBA Betting Trends

Sacramento

The Kings are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Sacramento is 0-4 ATS in its last four Monday games.

Boston

The Celtics are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five home games. Boston is 0-5-1 ATS in its last six games played on two days of rest.

Prediction:

Boston is solid even in the absence of Walker and Gordon Hayward, at least for now. Smart has been good as a starter and Wanamaker has been a revelation off the bench and can start if needed. Tatum and Brown have upped their games this season and the Celtics have shown resilience in the face of injury. With the Kings having played last night and stepping into a tough road venue, I like Boston here to win relatively easily.
