Pelicans upset Suns
New Orleans recorded a 124-121 road win at Phoenix Thursday night to improve to 6-9 overall and 2-5 on the road. The Pelicans outscored the Suns 65-55 in the second half to post the victory. Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 28 points on 9-of-19 shooting including 3-of-6 from 3-point range plus 7-of-9 at the free throw line. He also notched eight rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots. J.J. Redick accounted for 26 points, five boards and two assists. Jazz hold off Warriors
Utah withstood a comeback attempt by visiting Golden State Friday night to secure a 113-109 win and improve to 10-5 overall plus 7-1 at home. The Jazz led 90-72 through three quarters before easing up in the fourth quarter. Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 30 points on 12-of-24 shooting including 3-of-9 from 3-point range plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also registered four rebounds and four assists. NBA Betting Trends
New Orleans
The Pelicans are 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus the Western Conference. New Orleans is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games overall.
Utah
The favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Utah is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games.
Prediction:
New Orleans is getting healthier and playing better basketball as a result, plus it had a day off leading into this game. The Jazz had to expend some extra energy in the fourth quarter last night after Golden State made it a game again and I think tonight's spread might be a little too wide. Minnesota beat Utah by 10 in Salt Lake City earlier this week despite missing a key player, so I'm going to bet on New Orleans also making this one interesting.
