Thunder edged at Clippers

Oklahoma City lost by a score of 90-88 Monday night at Los Angeles to drop to 5-8 overall and 0-5 on the road. The Thunder led 47-42 at halftime, but were outscored 30-19 in the third quarter and could not hold on in the fourth quarter. Chris Paul paced OKC with 22 points on 5-of-10 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point range plus 10-of-11 at the free throw line. He also registered four rebounds, four assists and four steals. Danilo Gallinari tallied 14 points, five boards and two assists. Dennis Schroder accounted for 12 points, four rebounds and two dimes off the bench. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 11 points in 31 minutes of action.

Lakers dominate Hawks

Los Angeles rolled to a 122-101 home victory Sunday night over Atlanta to improve to 11-2 overall and 7-1 at home. The Lakers led 69-41 at halftime en route to the win. Lebron James paced LA with 33 points on 13-of-21 shooting including 6-of-10 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also accounted for 12 assists and seven rebounds. Kyle Kuzma registered 17 points and five boards. Rajon Rondo had 15 points, three assists and two rebounds as a reserve. Anthony Davis recorded 14 points, five caroms and five blocked shots. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 13 points in 21 minutes of action. Danny Green accumulated 11 points, six rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks. Alex Caruso added 11 points in 21 minutes off the bench.

NBA Betting Trends

Oklahoma City

The Thunder are 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a straight up winning record. Oklahoma City is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings.

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games versus the Western Conference. Los Angeles is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 home games.

Prediction:

The Lakers are once again the beneficiary of cleaning up on a team that had to play the Clippers last night. The Hawks were on a back-to-back and now the Thunder. While OKC gave the Clippers all they could handle, it undoubtedly took a lot of energy and I'm not sure how much there is left in the tank. I'm taking LA to win decisively here.
