Nuggets upended by Pelicans

Denver lost for the fifth time in six games Saturday night with a 125-115 defeat at New Orleans. Gary Harris paced the Nuggets (10-6) with 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting including 6-of-9 from 3-point range. He added five rebounds and four assists. Nikola Jokic contributed a team-best 25 points with 10 rebounds and eight assists. Juan Hernangomez tallied 20 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. Monte Morris had 13 points, five assists and three rebounds off the bench. Jamal Murray added 11 points, six dimes and two caroms. Denver trailed by three at halftime and was outscored 28-21 in the third quarter.

Bucks rally past Bulls

Milwaukee used a huge second half to dismiss visiting Chicago Saturday night by a count of 123-104. Eric Bledsoe led the way for the Bucks (11-4) with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting including 3-of-5 from 3-point range. He also contributed six assists, four rebounds and three steals. Giannis Antetokounmpo registered 23 points, 13 boards, four assists and three blocked shots. Khris Middleton had 23 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Brook Lopez had 14 points, five rebounds and two blocks. Malcolm Brogdon added 13 points, four rebounds and three assists. After trailing big at halftime, Milwaukee outscored the Bulls 78-41 in the second half.

Prediction:

Denver has struggled lately, but has the talent to turn it around and win any game on its schedule. That much was apparent last month when the Nuggets toppled a Warriors team at full strength. Revenge will be on the mind of Denver here and I think they at least cover the spread tonight with a decent shot at winning outright. Milwaukee isn't going to get away with another awful start like it had two nights ago.
