Raptors fall late against Pistons

Following a late turnover by Kawhi Leonard, Toronto fell at home by a 106-104 score Wednesday night as Detroit hit a buzzer-beater. Leonard led the way in the defeat with 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting with nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. Pascal Siakam tallied 17 points, seven boards and two assists. Jonas Valunciunas had 14 points and six rebounds. Kyle Lowry registered 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Greg Monroe accounted for 17 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench. The Raptors were outscored 29-16 in the fourth quarter.

Celtics cruise past Bulls

Boston secured a 111-82 home win over Chicago Tuesday night. After trailing 24-19 through one quarter of play, the Celtics turned up the jets in the second by outscoring Chicago 32-11 and taking a 51-35 lead into halftime. Jaylen Brown led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting plus six rebounds and three assists. Kyrie Irving contributed 17 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals. Jayson Tatum had 14 points and six rebounds. Terry Rozier recorded 12 points, four rebounds and two assists off the bench. Gordon Hayward accounted for 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Al Horford added 10 points, eight boards, three assists and two blocked shots.
