Kings win first game without Fox

With point guard De'Aaron Fox sidelined with a sprained ankle, Sacramento earned a 107-99 victory at home Tuesday night over Portland. The Kings trailed by three at halftime, but then proceeded to outscore the Trail Blazers 35-21 in the fourth quarter. Bogdan Bogdanovic led Sacramento with 25 points off the bench on 8-of-19 shooting including 3-of-8 from 3-point range plus 6-of-7 at the free throw line. He also registered 10 assists, four steals and three rebounds. Buddy Hield contributed 20 points and four rebounds. Nemanja Bjelica contributed 19 points, 12 boards and four dimes. Harrison Barnes had 16 points, four caroms and two assists. Richaun Holmes added 11 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots.

Lakers roll as Davis rests

Los Angeles rested star forward Anthony Davis Wednesday night at home but still cruised to a 120-94 victory over Golden State. The Lakers pulled away after the break as it outscored the Warriors a combined 53-39 in the third and fourth quarters. LeBron James paced LA with 23 points on 11-of-21 shooting including 1-of-5 from 3-point distance. He also contributed 12 assists and six rebounds. Kyle Kuzma had 22 points, five boards and two assists. JaVale McGee tallied 18 points, 17 caroms, three steals, three blocked shots and two assists. Dwight Howard accounted for 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists off the bench. Quinn Cook added 10 points and two assists.

Prediction:

Los Angeles should have Davis back in the fold tonight and with the Ewing Theory out of the way for the Kings, I don't like their chances here without Fox. If Bogdanovic or Hield get hot, that could help Sacramento keep it close but ultimately I think its defense fails to get enough stops as the Lakers pull away for an easy win.
