Hornets ease past Pistons
Charlotte secured a 113-103 victory at Detroit Sunday afternoon to improve to 7-6 on the season. The Hornets outscored the hosts 62-54 in the second half to put it away. Kemba Walker paced Charlotte with 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting to go with eight assists and three rebounds. Tony Parker contributed 24 points, four assists and three rebounds off the bench. Cody Zeller had 14 points, six boards and three blocked shots. Marvin Williams accounted for 10 points, four rebounds and two steals. Jeremy Lamb added 10 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Cavs drop fifth straight in Chicago
Injury-plagued Cleveland fell to 1-11 on the season Saturday night with a 99-98 loss at the Bulls. The Cavaliers rallied back from a 16-point deficit in the contest, but were unable to pull it out. Chicago led 37-23 after the first quarter. Tristan Thompson led the Cavs with 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting plus 12 rebounds and two steals. Collin Sexton tallied 20 points, four rebounds and three assists. Rodney Hood had 20 points, two boards and two assists. Jordan Clarkson added 15 points, five rebounds and four assists off the bench.
NBA Betting Trends
Charlotte
The Hornets are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games after allowing 100 or more points in their previous game. Charlotte is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six meetings in Cleveland.
Cleveland
The Cavaliers are 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall. The under is 4-0 in the last four Cleveland games following a straight up loss.
Prediction:
The Cavaliers have only won one home game this season, against lowly Atlanta, and every other home contest has been a loss by at least nine points. Charlotte is solid and Walker is having a huge season, so the dreadful year for Cleveland should continue. You can take a shot on the Cavs keeping it close if you want, but they stink and I think the better play is going with the stronger team in Charlotte that just won by 10 at Detroit.
NBA DAILY PREDICTION: CHARLOTTE HORNETS -7.5
