Hawks drop fourth straight at Lakers

Rookie point guard Trae Young had his potential game-winning shot blocked at the buzzer Sunday night in a 107-106 loss at the Lakers as Atlanta fell to 3-10 on the season. Taurean Prince led the way with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting including 5-of-8 3-point shooting. He also accounted for seven rebounds and two steals. Kent Bazemore contributed 21 points along with five steals, four rebounds and three assists. Young tallied 20 points, 12 assists and two rebounds. Alex Len added a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Hawks outscored the hosts 31-23 in the fourth quarter, but were unable to complete the comeback.

Warriors fall to Clippers in overtime

Golden State dropped to 11-3 on the season Monday night with a 121-116 loss at Los Angeles. It was the second game for the Warriors without Curry, who is out with a groin injury. Kevin Durant paced Golden State with a triple-double as he scored 33 points on 10-of-24 shooting plus 11 rebounds, 10 assists and two blocked shots. Klay Thompson registered 31 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Andre Iguodala added 14 points, five boards and four assists. Draymond Green returned from injury to score six points to go with 14 rebounds, three steals and two assists. The Warriors outscored the Clippers 25-16 in the fourth quarter to force overtime at 106-106, but was out-pointed 16-10 in the extra session.

NBA Betting Trends

Atlanta

The under is 22-4 in the last 26 Hawks games following an ATS win. The under is 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings at Golden State.

Golden State

The Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a losing road record. The under is 4-0 in the last four Golden State home games versus a team with a losing road record.

Prediction:

The fact that the Warriors had to play a grueling overtime game yesterday makes this one a bit more interesting. But I am shifting away from the spread line and taking a look at the under bet as the trends are leaning that way for this game. Golden State is without a major offensive weapon without Curry, but it does make it better defensively especially with the return of Green. The total seems to be a few points too high for how this game is likely to play out.
