Can the visiting Dallas Mavericks stay within the number tonight at the Oklahoma City Thunder? Tip-off is at 7PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Thunder are listed as a 12-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is 205 points.

Dallas enters with a 2-11 record after a 111-104 home loss to the Cavaliers. Oklahoma City comes in at 5-7 following a 120-111 home win over the Clippers. The Thunder won two of three meetings straight up last season, while the Mavericks went 2-1 ATS. The under went 2-1.

In the loss to Cleveland, Harrison Barnes led the way with 23 -points and 12 rebounds. Dennis Smith Jr. accounted for 21 points, seven assists and five boards. Dirk Nowitzki added 14 points and five rebounds. Dallas led by three at halftime, but was outscored 34-22 in the third quarter.

Paul George paced the Thunder in the win over LA with 42 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Russell Westbrook contributed 22 points and eight assists. Carmelo Anthony and Alex Abrines each scored 14. Oklahoma City led 63-55 at halftime and held on from there.

Dallas is 21-9-1 ATS in the last 31 meetings in Oklahioma City. The Thunder are 0-4 ATS in their last four Sunday games.

Bet on Mavericks vs. Thunder

A win over a struggling Clippers team doesn't necessarily mean OKC has fixed its issues yet. The Thunder are having a tendency to struggle late in games or against inferior competition. Dallas fits the bill and despite playing on a back-to-back, it should stay within the number against an Oklahoma City squad that is more bark than bite right now.
