Heat roll at Suns

Miami secured a 124-108 victory Wednesday night at Phoenix to improve to 6-2 overall and 3-2 on the road. The Heat outscored the Suns 31-22 in the fourth quarter to put it away. Jimmy Butler had a big night with 34 points on 11-of-16 shooting including 2-of-2 from 3-point range plus 10-of-10 at the free throw line. He also notched five rebounds and four assists. Goran Dragic had 25 points, six boards and four assists off the bench. Bam Adebayo contributed 15 points, 10 boards, six assists and five steals. Tyler Herro tallied 15 points, two caroms and two assists as a reserve. Kendrick Nunn added 11 points and two rebounds.

Lakers take down Bulls

Los Angeles earned a 118-112 victory Tuesday night at Chicago Tuesday night to improve to 6-1 overall and 3-1 on the road. The Lakers outscored the Bulls 70-47 after the break to overcome a halftime deficit. LeBron James paced LA with 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting including 2-of-6 from 3-point range plus 8-of-9 at the charity stripe. He also recorded 11 assists, 10 rebounds and two steals. Quinn Cook had 17 points, four boards and two assists off the bench. Anthony Davis contributed 15 points, seven boards, three assists and three blocked shots. NBA Betting Trends

Miami

The Heat are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. Miami is 1-8 ATS in its last nine Friday games.

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in their last five Friday games. Los Angeles is 5-0 ATS in its last five home games.

Prediction:

Miami is on a back-to-back and while it played well last night and has a fairly deep roster, I don't like its chances to keep up with the Lakers for four quarters. Look for LA to take the game over in the second half as LeBron always loves facing his former team.
