Rockets win third straight
James Harden hit a late tie-breaking 3-pointer Monday night to lift Houston to a 98-94 victory at the Pacers. The Rockets are now 4-5 after starting the season 1-5. Harden paced the Rockets with 28 points on 7-of-15 shooting including 5-of-12 from 3-point distance. He added six assists, four rebounds and three steals. Clint Capela tallied 18 points and 10 rebounds. James Ennis III added 13 points and two boards. Houston climbed back in the game by outscoring the hosts 29-19 in the fourth quarter.
Thunder ease past host Cavs
Oklahoma City was without Russell Westbrook (ankle) Wednesday night, but it didn't matter as it downed host Cleveland by a 95-86 score. Dennis Schroder scored a season-high 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting to go with seven rebounds to lead the way for the 6-4 Thunder. Paul George contributed 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jerami Grant added 12 points and eight boards. Oklahoma City led 48-40 at halftime and held on from there.
NBA Betting Trends
Houston
The under is 6-0 in the last six Rockets games on Thursdays. Houston is 0-4 ATS in its last four games following a win.
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 1-8 ATS in their last nine home games versus Houston. The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
Prediction:
Oklahoma City is on a roll, but with Westbrook questionable for this one it could make all the difference. If he is out, you have to like the Rockets here. With Houston having days off and OKC on a back-to-back with travel, I think the play is definitely the Rockets even with giving four points.
