Lakers take down Spurs

Los Angeles earned a 103-96 victory Sunday night at San Antonio to improve to 5-1 overall and 2-1 on the road. The Lakers led 56-43 at halftime on their way to the win. Anthony Davis led the way for LA with 25 points on 10-of-20 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 4-of-4 at the free throw line. He also notched 11 rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals. LeBron James contributed 21 points, 13 assists, 11 boards and two steals. Avery Bradley had 16 points and three caroms. Dwight Howard accounted for 14 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks off the bench. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 14 points in 28 minutes as a reserve.

Bulls fall at Pacers

Chicago lost by a score of 108-95 Sunday at Indiana to drop to 2-5 overall and 1-4 on the road. The Bulls trailed 55-42 at halftime en route to the defeat. Zach LaVine paced Chicago with 21 points on 8-of-20 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also accounted for six rebounds and two assists. Wendell Carter Jr. registered 20 points, 10 boards and two assists. Thaddeus Young recorded 12 points, three caroms and three steals off the bench. Lauri Markkanen added 11 points and six rebounds as a reserve.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games played on one day of rest. Los Angeles is 13-3 ATS in its last 16 games overall.

The Bulls are 6-20 ATS in their last 26 home games. Chicago is 5-14-2 ATS in its last 21 games versus the Pacific Division.

Los Angeles is living up to the hype lately and will look to stay hot with a win over a struggling Chicago squad. While the Bulls have some young pieces, they have not put it all together yet and I don't see them having answers for LeBron and Davis. This one could turn into a rout quickly as long as LA focuses on the task at hand. I'm banking on that happening.
