According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Timberwolves are a 12.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is 214 points.

The Mavericks come in with a 1-9 record after a 99-94 home loss to the Pelicans, their fifth defeat in a row. Minnesota is 5-3 following a 104-98 victory at New Orleans. Minnesota went 2-1 straight up and ATS in the three meetings last season. The under went 3-0.

Dallas was led by Harrison Barnes as he tallied 26 points, six rebounds and three assists in the loss to the Pelicans. Dennis Smith Jr. contributed 16 points and four assists. J.J. Barea added 13 points, five assists and four rebounds. The Mavericks trailed 75-63 through three quarters and were unable to rally enough in the fourth.

Jimmy Butler hit a go-ahead jumper with 34 seconds left in the T-Wolves' win at New Orleans. He had a team-high 23 points and three steals. Andrew Wiggins contributed 18 points and six rebounds. Nemanja Bjelica and Gorgui Dieng both scored 12 off the bench, while Dieng also pulled down eight rebounds.

Dallas is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. The under is 6-0 in the last six meetings in Minnesota.

Bet on Mavericks vs. Timberwolves

We see it all the time in the NBA, even with bad teams. The night after getting blown out, they travel and you expect them to get blown out again versus a better team. It doesn't always happen. Not that we expect the Mavs to win outright tonight, but 12.5 points is a pretty big cushion. Minnesota hasn't exactly been blowing teams out right and left. Bet on Dallas to stay within the number.
