The Phoenix Suns only have one win through their first six games this season and face a tough test at home tonight versus the San Antonio Spurs. Can Phoenix keep it close and cover the spread as the underdogs?

Suns fall to 1-5 with loss at OKC

Phoenix fell behind 62-48 at halftime on its way to a 117-110 loss at Oklahoma City Sunday night. Elie Okobo helped lead the way in the loss with 18 points off the bench on 5-of-9 shooting to go with seven assists and five rebounds. T.J. Warren had 18 points and eight rebounds off the bench. NBA Betting Trends

San Antonio

The over is 8-1-1 in the last 10 Spurs road games. San Antonio is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

The over is 5-1 in the last six Suns games following a straight up loss. Phoenix is 1-4 ATS in its last five games after allowing 100 or more points in its previous game.

The Suns are already in freefall mode and are without their top scorer in Devin Booker. While its not a great situation, they face a Spurs team that has struggled on the road and also had issues putting away Dallas at home last game. The veteras on Phoenix such as Anderson and Trevor Ariza need to make a bigger impact and this is a good opportunity for that to happen. I'm going to take a shot on the Suns to cover in this spot.
