Blazers impress at Pacers
Portland won its second game in three tries during the current road trip last night with a 103-93 victory at Indiana. Damian Lillard had 16 points and two boards. Evan Turner had 13 points, eight boards and three assists. Al-Farouq Aminu and Caleb Swanigan both contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds. Rockets drop third straight
Houston lost decisively by a count of 133-113 at home Friday night versus the Clippers. The Rockets trailed 70-61 at halftime and were outscored in every quarter of the defeat. Carmelo Anthony helped lead the way with 24 points plus two rebounds and two blocked shots. Gerald Green had 19 points and five boards off the bench. Clint Capela tallied 14 points, 15 caroms and two steals. Chris Paul had 12 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals. P.J. NBA Betting Trends
Portland
The Trail Blazers are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The over is 14-4 in the last 18 meetings in Houston.
Houston
The Rockets are 0-5 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a winning straight up record. The over is 21-6 in the last 27 meetings.
Prediction:
Houston has had plenty of rest and time to sort things out after its 20-point loss to the Clippers last week, while Portland has a quick turnaround after playing at Indiana last night. Houston isn't much different than the team that went to the Western Conference Finals last season and I'd imagine it gets rolling soon. Look for the Rockets to cover what isn't a very daunting spread tonight.
