Pelicans star center Anthony Davis missed the 132-111 home loss to the Jazz Saturday night with a sprained elbow. He is questionable to play tonight. Gary Harris had 13 points, five assists and three rebounds. Trey Lyles tallied 11 points, four rebounds and three assists off the bench. Mason Plumlee added 10 points and three rebounds as a reserve.
NBA Betting Trends
New Orleans
The Pelicans are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss. The over is 4-1 in the last five meetings.
Denver
The Nuggets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. Denver is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 home games versus New Orleans.
Prediction:
First off, check the reports as it gets closer to tip-off on the status of Davis. If he is out again, the Nuggets are good enough to smash anyone on their home floor let alone a team without its superstar. Denver is going to want to rebound from its loss last week against LA and should take advantage of the mismatch inside with Jokic as long as Davis is out. The spread is big here, but Denver is equipped with a starting five that all plays solid defense plus a talented offense that will exploit New Orleans' defensive deficiencies.
