Can the Cleveland Cavaliers cover the spread as favorites on the road Saturday night at the New Orleans Pelicans? Game time is 7PM EST.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cavaliers are listed as a 4-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 217 points. 

Cleveland enters with a 3-2 record after a 112-107 loss at the Nets. New Orleans comes in at 2-3 after it rallied to defeat the host Kings 114-106 Thursday night on national TV. The two meetings were split 1-1 straight up last year with the Pelicans covering the spread both times. The over-under went 1-1.

In the Cavs' loss, LeBron James had a triple-double with 29 points along with 13 assists and 10 rebounds. He also blocked four shots. Kyle Korver scored 22 off the bench, while Jeff Green had 18 points and six rebounds off the bench. Kevin Love chipped in with 15 points and 12 boards. Cleveland outscored the Nets 34-28 in the fourth quarter, but were unable to rally enough for the win.

New Orleans trailed 70-56 at halfitme at Sacramento before coming back with a big second half. DeMarcus Cousins poured in 41 points and pulled down 23 rebounds against his former team, with his usage rate going up due to Anthony Davis being out with a knee injury. Jrue Holiday contributed 20 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Jameer Nelson scored 18 off the bench and dished out six assists. 

The over is 6-0 in the last six meetings in New Orleans. Cleveland is 1-4 ATS in its last five meetings in New Orleans and also 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

Bet on Cavaliers vs. Pelicans 

LeBron usually gets his team rolling after losses against inferior opponents, which has happened twice now against the Magic and Nets. The game against Brooklyn was at least on the road, but still a team it should have beaten. Check Davis' status for the Pelicans beforehand because he changes the landscape of everything. If he is out, jump on Cleveland as there just isn't enough firepower on the New Orleans roster to contend with King James and company.
